Introduction

The Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake Memorial Disaster Reduction and Human Renovation institution(阪神・淡路大震災記念 人と防災未来センター:Hanshin Awaji daishinsai kinen hito to bosaimirai senta) is a facility for passing on the experiences and lessons learned from the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake and communicating information necessary for disaster prevention.

 

In the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake that occurred on January 17, 1995, more than 6,400 lives were lost.
In the Disaster Reduction and Human Renovation institution, you can see materials related to the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake.
There is also a theater for experiencing the earthquake and a tsunami evacuation experience corner.

 

You can watch videos of the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake, listen to the stories of the victims, and learn about disasters.

 

There is a restaurant and a museum shop on site. The museum shop sells disaster prevention goods and Kobe souvenirs.

Access

-Get off at Hanshin Railway "Iwaya" station, "Kasuganomichi" station, about a 10-minute walk.
-Get off at JR "Nada" station and walk for about 12 minutes.
-Get off at Hankyu Railway "Oji Koen" station and walk for about 20 minutes.
